It’s a great film. I love Rain Man.
For those of you out there considering Mounjaro, do it. It’s an amazing drug that takes the food “noise” away. It makes it easy to lose weight basically.
But you still have to do it. Any doing it means Calorie deficit. Simple.
But now i’m off Mounjaro it gets harder. The noise is back during those boring winter nights when there is nothing to do.
My gym journey is still “light” and I’ll be ramping that up in Jan ’26 as more weight comes off but now I’m finding it more difficult to maintain the diet.
There is light at the end of that tunnel though, welcome a new favourite – home made, healthy protein shakes.
One banana, an egg, milk and some mixed berries. One spoon of strawberry whey protein and boom – delicious smoothie.
It’s protein rich, low in calories and man does it fill you up.
I’m sure Dustin would approve. Bet two for good and get yourself a blender!! Have one of these for lunch or breakfast and counting calories doesn’t come so hard.
It seems to me that every bit of news these days is bad. Maybe we’ve forgotten just how wonderful our country is, just how wonderful the people in it are, and our capacity for being a bit mad.
A few months ago I was morbidly obese. Today I’m just obese. But next year I plan on being fit, toned and healthy. Like all good sales people I need a target. I need to be challenged and I need a real reason to get my fat backside out there and train. The second half of 2025 has been consumed with losing weight. The year of 2026 will be consumed with training, scaring myself half to death, and getting fit again.
Can a 54 year old really go from 23 1/2 stone to running a six minute mile within a year?
Let’s find out!!
I’ll do everything I can to make sure he does. If you could find it in yourself to sponsor me, or join me on my quest, then it’s all for two amazing charities….
